What to expect on your first visit
Initial consultation and treatment:
On the first scheduled session at the clinic, the practitioner will assess your general health while discussing the reason for the visit. Each visit is tailored to an individual’s needs, getting a comprehensive understanding of your general state in relation to the chief complaint is the most effective way to facilitate healing.
The intake will include questions relating to your current issues/symptoms, past treatments, patient’s medical history, daily activities, diet, sleeping patterns and emotional health. There will also be a full body physical assessment along with checking pulse and tongue quality to better understand overall health and systemic state.
Treatments do typically involve massage, acupuncture, and some guidelines/prescribed stretch and exercise routines. Initial visits are typically 75 min while subsequent visits are about 45-60 min.
